What makes us different from typical computer-based training?
Our approach to software training is different than typical CBT. End-users have told us over and over again they don't have the time to sit through hours of training. Our short, to-the-point video clips makes it possible to "get in, get the knowledge, and get back to work"
Why do the clips sometimes look "scrunched up" in Internet Explorer version 8?
Internet Explorer 8 has a new feature called Compatibility View that, when enabled, can cause certain Flash movies to look distorted or "scrunched up". We recommend that Compatibility Mode be disabled when viewing our clips. In organizations where Compatibility View is enabled by default, we are happy to provide an updated version of our clips that will correct the issue. Please contact us to request replacements.
What does a Corporate License allow us to do?
The Corporate License allows you to copy the contents of our CDs to an internal network, portal, or SharePoint server. This is the easiest way to provide training to unlimited users within your network. Learn more about our licensing and deployment options.
How long is the average clip?
Each video training clip averages around three minutes in length.
In which format are the clips available?
We produce the clips as Flash .swf (version 7 and higher) files to ensure maximum compatibility. In addition,we can provide most of our clips in various formats including .flv and .wmv and in different resolutions.
What special software needs to be installed to view clips?
Clips are viewed with the industry standard Flash player, which is compatible with 98% of computers. Generally clips are compatible with Flash player Version 6, with newer clips required Flash Version 7 or higher.
Can we use your clips in our LMS?
With the purchase of our Corporate License, you can use our clips internally any way you please. Hosted on a SharePoint portal, as a linked page on an intranet web site or via an LMS. By request, our clips are available in alternate sizes and formats including Flash FLV, MP4, WMV, etc. Contact us to discuss the options.
Are the clips interactive?
Not directly. However, most of the clips include sample exercise files that can be installed and used to practice the techniques being demonstrated on the screen.
